DIRT EP is a 4 song covers EP I recorded during the first UK C-19 lockdown. At the time I couldn’t write. At all. Despite this I still needed to feed whatever it is that lives under my bed and in the back of my head, so I recorded an EP of covers. Turns out a few people have said what I couldn’t find the words for already.

First up is DIRT, an Iggy & The Stooges song taken from their 1970 album Funhouse.
"This version is quite simply dirty. The underlying sex appeal and sinister slither is evident. It's in Lyall's voice however where the true power and lure of the songs lies, sounding like she's in some sort of erotic trance."

THE CRYSTAL SHIP is a Doors song from their 1967 debut album. This beautiful song was apparently composed as a goodbye love song to Jim Morrison’s first serious girlfriend shortly after their relationship ended.

PRETTY FLY is a strange little conceptual cover of a song that appears in my favourite film noir ‘Night of the Hunter.'

MURDER MURDER is a song I love so much I was both terrified and desperate to cover.
